BRIDGEHOUSE
When the partners at Passage Studio approached me for this job they asked me for “plants to go in the planter”. Once I met the owner and got a sense of the state of the architecture I proposed we do more.
The design of the house is in stark contrast to its neighbours, and I envisioned a landscape that could set a new precedent for the neighbourhood. I adapted the motto “go BIG or go HOME” and in this context that simply meant, be wild, messy and free, with a backdrop as stark and beautiful as this house was. It was easy.
We have been picking away at this project for many years at this point, and will hopefully continue to do so.
Gratitude to the guys at Passage, for connecting us, and to Linda and Bruce for taking a chance on an otherwise unknown landscape designer with delusions of grandeur.
